Community Guidelines
Last updated 18 October 2026.Onkast only works if people can trust what they find here. These guidelines are the short version of what that means in practice - for everyone, on every account type.
Post real opportunities
A Cast Call should describe something genuinely happening. Don't post a placeholder, a test, or an opportunity you don't actually intend to cast.
Be honest about compensation
Say clearly and accurately what an applicant will get - paid, unpaid, expenses, or anything else. Don't misrepresent what's on offer to get more applicants.
Never ask someone to pay to be considered
A genuine opportunity never requires an applicant to pay a fee, buy something, or send money to "secure their place" or be considered. Treat any such request as a scam, whichever side of a Cast Call it comes from.
Treat each other with respect
No harassment, threats, hate speech, or discrimination based on who someone is. Disagreements happen; abuse doesn't belong here.
Be who you say you are
Don't impersonate another person, brand, or organisation, and don't misrepresent your own identity, account type, or the opportunity you're posting.
No exploitative or coercive requests
A casting decision should never be conditioned on anything inappropriate, and an opportunity should never pressure someone into something they haven't clearly agreed to.
Respect privacy and consent
Only share what people have actually agreed to share. Don't repost someone else's photos, videos, or messages without their permission, and don't use information from Onkast for anything unrelated to a genuine casting opportunity.
Meeting in person
Cast Calls can lead to real-world meetings and shoots. Onkast doesn't vet or supervise any specific meeting that results from a Cast Call, so use your own judgement: prefer a public place for a first meeting, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts if something feels wrong.
Reporting and blocking
If something on Onkast breaks these guidelines, you can report it directly - on a profile, a Cast Call, or a conversation - with a short reason. Every report reaches Onkast for review. If you're not able to use the in-app Report button, or something feels urgent, you can also email safety@onkast.app directly. You can also block anyone at any time: a blocked user can no longer message you or apply to your Cast Calls, and their content stops appearing in your feed.
What happens after a report
We review reports and can remove content or take other action on an account when a genuine violation is found. We don't promise a fixed response time here, and the right action depends on what's actually reported.
Changes to these guidelines
We may update these guidelines from time to time as Onkast grows. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
